Description

28-8-6S is a murine hybridoma cell line derived from the fusion of spleen lymphocytes from immunized BALB/c mice with myeloma cells to produce monoclonal antibodies specific for the H-2Kᵇ and H-2Dᵇ MHC class I molecules. This cell line belongs to the B cells lineage and originates from lymphoid tissue of mouse origin. 28-8-6S cells grow in suspension or semi-adherent form. The cells secrete a monoclonal IgG2a antibody with strong reactivity against murine MHC class I antigens, making them a valuable immunological reagent. Karyotypic analysis reveals murine chromosomal profiles. These cells are tumorigenic in immunodeficient mice. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteriaa.

  • 28-8-6S cells are widely used for the continuous production of monoclonal antibodies targeting mouse MHC class I antigens (H-2Kᵇand H-2Dᵇ), critical for studying antigen presentation, T cells receptor interactions, and immune recognition in murine models. The antibody is suitable for applications including flow cytometry, immunoprecipitation, and in vivo immunomodulation. The cell line is also employed in hybridoma stability assays and antibody isotype analysis.
