4T1/HSV1-tk Luciferase Stable Cell Line is a dual-reporter murine mammary carcinoma model engineered from the metastatic 4T1 parental line, co-expressing herpes simplex virus type 1 thymidine kinase (HSV1-tk) and luciferase (Luc) for multimodal molecular imaging. This stable cell line enables both PET imaging and sensitive bioluminescence detection (through Luc activity), providing complementary quantitative methods for tracking tumor dynamics in vivo. The cells maintain native 4T1 characteristics including high metastatic potential and epithelial morphology while offering versatile applications in cancer therapy monitoring, stem cell research, and suicide gene therapy studies. Maintained at low passages (<P20) to ensure reporter stability, the dual-reporter system allows cross-validation of imaging modalities and facilitates longitudinal studies of tumor progression and treatment response.
