BALB/c Mouse Primary Brain Vascular Fibroblasts from AcceGen are isolated from tissue of pathogen-free laboratory mice.
BALB/c Mouse Brain Vascular Fibroblasts are isolated from the brain vascular tissue of BALB/c mice. These fibroblasts play a crucial role in maintaining the structural integrity and extracellular matrix composition of cerebral blood vessels. Morphologically, they exhibit a spindle-shaped, adherent growth pattern typical of fibroblasts. Functionally, these cells contribute to vascular remodeling, wound healing, and regulation of blood-brain barrier (BBB) properties. Studies have linked brain vascular fibroblasts to neurovascular disorders, including stroke and cerebral small vessel disease, through their involvement in extracellular matrix deposition and inflammatory signaling pathways. These cells express markers such as vimentin and fibroblast-specific protein 1 (FSP1). BALB/c Mouse Brain Vascular Fibroblasts are primary cells that do not proliferate indefinitely in vitro. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

BALB/c Mouse Brain Vascular Fibroblasts serve as an in vitro model to explore neurovascular unit dynamics, extracellular matrix remodeling, and inflammatory responses in cerebrovascular diseases, making them highly relevant for BALB/c mouse vascular fibroblast types research. Their use aids in understanding mechanisms underlying BBB dysfunction and vascular fibrosis, providing insights that could inform therapeutic strategies for stroke, dementia, and other neurovascular conditions. They also facilitate drug screening targeting fibrotic pathways and support investigations of cell-cell interactions within the neurovascular niche.
