Primary C57BL/6 mouse fibrochondrocytes isolated from fibrocartilage tissue, provided at 0.5 million viable cells per vial for research use.
C57BL/6 Mouse Fibrochondrocytes are isolated from meniscal fibrocartilage tissue of C57BL/6 mice. Fibrochondrocytes are specialized connective tissue cells that exhibit characteristics of both fibroblasts and chondrocytes and are involved in maintaining extracellular matrix composition in fibrocartilage structures. Following primary culture, these cells are cryopreserved for research applications. Fibrochondrocytes contribute to collagen production, tissue repair, and biomechanical support within cartilage-associated tissues. These cells are reported to express collagen type I, collagen type II, aggrecan, and SOX9.In vitro, these cells typically display adherent growth with a spindle-shaped or polygonal morphology. C57BL/6 mouse fibrochondrocytes are commonly used in musculoskeletal biology, cartilage degeneration studies, intervertebral disc research, and tissue engineering applications. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from mycoplasma, fungi, yeast, and bacteria.
