Description

BALB/c Mouse Kidney Endothelial Cells are primary microvascular endothelial cells isolated from the renal capillaries of BALB/c mice (Mus musculus). These cells originate from the inner lining of kidney blood vessels and exhibit classic endothelial morphology, including a cobblestone-like appearance in culture and tight monolayer formation. These cells are maintained at low passage numbers to preserve their phenotype and functional characteristics. They retain key renal endothelial properties including regulation of vascular tone, selective permeability, and inflammatory cell recruitment. Karyotype analysis confirms genomic stability, while immunophenotyping reveals high expression of endothelial markers such as CD31 (PECAM-1), VE-cadherin (CD144), and von Willebrand factor (vWF), verified through flow cytometry and immunostaining. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures and is tested to ensure it is free from contamination by Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

Application

  • BALB/c Mouse Kidney Endothelial Cells are essential for research on renal microvascular physiology and pathology. They are widely used in modeling inflammation and immune cell transmigration within the renal vasculature, investigating endothelial contributions to kidney diseases such as diabetic nephropathy and hypertensive nephrosclerosis, studying renal ischemia-reperfusion injury and angiogenesis, and assessing drug effects on the renal endothelium. These cells provide a reliable in vitro system for mechanistic studies and preclinical evaluation in nephrology and vascular biology.
