Description

BALB/c Mouse Kidney Glomerular Endothelial Cells are primary microvascular endothelial cells isolated from the glomeruli of BALB/c mice (Mus musculus). These cells originate specifically from the glomerular capillary tufts, where they contribute to the renal filtration barrier along with podocytes and the glomerular basement membrane. In vitro, these cells display a typical cobblestone morphology and grow in tightly connected monolayers. They retain key glomerular endothelial features such as fenestration, selective permeability, and production of endothelial nitric oxide. Early passage cells preserve native phenotype and functional behavior. Immunophenotyping confirms expression of endothelial-specific markers including CD31 (PECAM-1), VE-cadherin (CD144), and von Willebrand factor (vWF). Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures and is tested to ensure it is free from contamination by Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.
