Description

BALB/c Mouse Lung Fibroblasts are primary fibroblast cells isolated from the lung connective tissue of BALB/c mice (Mus musculus). Lung fibroblasts are key structural cells responsible for extracellular matrix (ECM) production, tissue remodeling, and intercellular signaling during both normal development and pathological fibrosis. In culture, these cells exhibit the characteristic spindle-shaped, elongated morphology of fibroblasts and adhere strongly to culture vessels. They are validated for high expression of mesenchymal markers such as vimentin and fibroblast-specific protein 1 (FSP1), while being negative for endothelial (CD31) and epithelial (E-cadherin, CK18) markers. Cells are provided at early passages and confirmed to be chromosomally stable via karyotyping. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures and is tested to ensure it is free from contamination by Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.
