Description

BALB/c Mouse Ovarian Endothelial Cells are primary endothelial cells isolated from the ovarian vasculature of BALB/c mice (Mus musculus). These cells form the monolayer lining of ovarian microvasculature and play essential roles in regulating local blood flow, cyclic angiogenesis, and folliculogenesis. In culture, these cells exhibit a typical endothelial cobblestone morphology and express hallmark endothelial markers such as CD31 (PECAM-1), VE-cadherin, von Willebrand factor (vWF), and endoglin. They demonstrate functional properties including tube formation, migration, and response to angiogenic factors like vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures and is tested to ensure it is free from contamination by Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

Application

  • BALB/c Mouse Ovarian Endothelial Cells are invaluable for studying ovarian vascular biology, including the cyclical angiogenic processes of the ovarian cycle, folliculogenesis, and corpus luteum neovascularization. They serve as a model to investigate endothelial responses to hormonal regulation and factors influencing ovarian function and fertility. These cells are also utilized in research on ovarian pathologies such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), ovarian cancer angiogenesis, and vascular dysfunction.
