Description

BALB/c Mouse Spleen Cells are a heterogeneous population of primary immune cells freshly isolated from the spleen of BALB/c mice. The spleen is a critical lymphoid organ involved in systemic immune surveillance, lymphocyte maturation, and antigen presentation. These cells include a mix of T lymphocytes, B lymphocytes, macrophages, dendritic cells, and natural killer (NK) cells, reflecting the native cellular diversity of the splenic microenvironment. AcceGen's BALB/c Mouse Spleen Cells are collected under sterile conditions, mechanically dissociated, filtered to remove debris, and optionally red blood cell (RBC) depleted using standard lysis protocols. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures and is tested to ensure it is free from contamination by Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

Application

  • BALB/c Mouse Spleen Cells are ideal for immunological research, particularly in the fields of adaptive immunity, autoimmunity, infectious disease, vaccine development, and immune modulation. They are commonly used in mixed lymphocyte reactions (MLR), T cell proliferation assays, B cell activation studies, and cytokine profiling. These cells provide an excellent resource for studying antigen-specific immune responses, testing immunosuppressive or immunostimulatory compounds, and generating dendritic cells or macrophages through differentiation protocols. Additionally, they are frequently used for generating hybridomas for monoclonal antibody production through fusion with myeloma cells.
