Description

BALB/c Mouse Spleen Endothelial Cells are derived from the splenic microvasculature of BALB/c mice. These endothelial cells are a key component of the splenic vasculature, lining the sinusoids and venules that regulate lymphocyte trafficking, antigen transport, and blood filtration within the spleen. In vitro, the cells exhibit typical cobblestone morphology and robust adherence, expressing canonical endothelial markers such as CD31 (PECAM-1), VE-cadherin, and von Willebrand Factor (vWF). Functional expression of adhesion molecules like ICAM-1 and VCAM-1 supports their role in leukocyte transmigration and immune cell homing. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures and is tested to ensure it is free from contamination by Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

Application

  • BALB/c Mouse Spleen Endothelial Cells provide a unique model for studying endothelial-immune interactions in secondary lymphoid organs. These cells are particularly valuable in investigations of immune cell trafficking, antigen presentation, lymphocyte homing, and inflammation-driven vascular remodeling in the spleen. They are well-suited for co-culture assays with T or B cells, modeling immune cell extravasation, or evaluating the effects of immunomodulatory therapies on vascular activation.
