Description

BALB/c Mouse Spleen Fibroblasts are isolated from the spleen tissue of BALB/c mice. Fibroblasts in the spleen form part of the stromal cell network that provides structural support and mediates key immune functions. They contribute to the extracellular matrix, secrete cytokines, and influence the localization, survival, and activation of immune cells within the splenic microenvironment. These cells display typical spindle-shaped morphology and adhere strongly to standard culture vessels. They express fibroblast markers such as vimentin, fibronectin, and PDGFR-α, and lack endothelial (CD31) and hematopoietic (CD45) markers, ensuring lineage purity. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures and is tested to ensure it is free from contamination by Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

Application

  • BALB/c Mouse Spleen Fibroblasts are valuable for studying stromal–immune interactions, fibrotic remodeling in secondary lymphoid organs, and the role of non-hematopoietic cells in inflammation and immune regulation. These cells are particularly useful in co-culture systems with lymphocytes to model the influence of fibroblasts on immune cell migration, differentiation, or cytokine production. They also serve as a platform for studying stromal cell-driven immunopathology, including autoimmune disorders, lymphoid neoplasms, and chronic inflammation.
