Bovine large artery endothelial cells are derived from the arteries of USDA-inspected cattle.
Bovine Coronary Artery Endothelial Cells are endothelial cells isolated from bovine coronary arteries. They have a typical cobblestone-like polygonal morphology and grow as an adherent monolayer in culture. These cells play an important role in cardiovascular research. The functions of these cells include maintaining vasodilation by synthesizing nitric oxide (NO) and prostacyclin (PGI₂). The activity of endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) in these cells can be influenced by various physiological and hormonal factors, which in turn affect NO production and vascular tone. In addition, they are also involved in the maintenance of vascular barrier function, and their permeability is regulated by cytokines (such as IL-1β and TNF-α). Their physiological characteristics are closely associated with mechanisms of bovine vascular tone regulation and provide cellular features relevant to the study of bovine coronary artery disease models under controlled experimental conditions. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

Bovine Coronary Artery Endothelial Cells can be used to study the mechanisms of vascular tone regulation, such as nitric oxide (NO) and prostacyclin (PGI₂)-mediated vasodilation, and the regulation of vasoconstrictor factors such as endothelin-1 (ET-1). In the study of diseases such as atherosclerosis, hypertension, and diabetic vascular disease, these cells can also be used to evaluate the effects of hyperglycemia, oxidative stress, and inflammatory factors (such as TNF-α, IL-6) on endothelial function.
