C57BL/6 Mouse Pulmonary Artery Smooth Muscle Cells are isolated from pathogen-free mice, supporting vascular physiology, pharmacology, and disease studies.
C57BL/6 Mouse Pulmonary Artery Smooth Muscle Cells, also known as C57BL/6 pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells, Murine PASMC primary cells, and Mouse pulmonary arterial SMCs, are derived from the pulmonary artery tissue of the C57BL/6 mouse. These cells are smooth muscle components residing within the medial layer of the pulmonary artery wall. Pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells are responsible for vascular tone regulation and contractile function under both physiological and pathological conditions. Studies have shown that these cells are implicated in pulmonary vascular remodeling, especially in diseases such as pulmonary arterial hypertension, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and hypoxia-induced vascular dysfunction. They express smooth muscle markers such as α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA). Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles in vitro to maintain cell viability and function. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from mycoplasma, fungi, yeast, and bacteria.

These cells serve as a powerful model for studying smooth muscle contraction, vascular tone regulation, and cell proliferation under pathological conditions such as pulmonary hypertension. C57BL/6 Mouse Pulmonary Artery Smooth Muscle Cells are used in research on vascular remodeling, hypoxia-induced signaling, and the role of smooth muscle in pulmonary disease progression and therapy development.
