Mouse Primary Cells from AcceGen are isolated from tissue of pathogen-free laboratory mice.
CD-1 Mouse Liver Cells are primary hepatocytes isolated from pathogen-free CD-1 mouse livers using optimized enzymatic digestion and mechanical dissociation to preserve viability and intrinsic hepatic functions. These adherent cells exhibit typical hepatic morphology. The cells are cultured following AcceGen’s recommended conditions. These primary liver cells provide a physiologically relevant model for hepatocellular biology, liver metabolism studies, toxicology screening, and liver tissue repair in CD-1 mice. To ensure the quality of these primary cells, repeated freeze-thawcycles are not recommended due to the fragile nature of these cells. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

CD-1 Mouse Liver Cells are widely used in research on hepatic physiology and pathophysiology, especially in modeling drug-induced liver injury, studying metabolic enzyme activities, and evaluating xenobiotic toxicity. Their primary origin and preserved function make them ideal for ADME/Tox screening, liver disease modeling such as non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and fibrosis, and hepatic transporter studies. In addition, these cells support investigations into liver regeneration, immune response modulation in the liver, and virus-host interactions, offering a reliable in vitro hepatic model for translational research.
