FB2 hybridoma-derived antibody is ideal for detecting phosphorylated proteins via Western blot or immunoprecipitation in signal transduction studies.
FB2 is a mouse hybridoma cell line generated by fusion of spleen cells from immunized mice with FOX-NY myeloma cells. These cells exhibit lymphoblast-like morphology and display suspension growth properties in standard in vitro conditions. Molecular characterization confirms FB2 cells express immunoglobulin genes encoding a phosphotyrosine-targeting monoclonal antibody. This hybridoma model demonstrates high tumorigenic potential and significant metastatic capacity, frequently developing disseminated pulmonary metastases in animal models. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

FB2 cell line serves as a critical tool for monoclonal antibody production targeting phosphotyrosine residues. Its primary application is in cancer research and immunology studies, specifically for detecting tyrosine-phosphorylated proteins involved in signal transduction pathways. For example, the secreted IgG3 kappa antibody enables immunoassays such as Western blotting and immunohistochemistry to investigate aberrant phosphorylation in oncogenic processes, facilitating the study of cell signaling dysregulation in disease models and therapeutic target validation
