Osteosarcoma
G-292 clone A141B1 is a human osteosarcoma cell line isolated from the bone of a White, 9-year-old, female patient with osteosarcoma. G-292 clone A141B1 cells exhibit fibroblast-like morphology and adherent culture properties. They show the type B phenotype for G6PD and the karyotype is subtetraploid with chromosome markers. Cytogenetic analysis of the cells reveals the presence of a p53 mutation. They express Epidermal growth factor (EGF) and demonstrate moderate tumorigenicity. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

G-292 clone A141B1 cell line serves as a critical in vitro model for drug screening and molecular pathway analysis in bone cancer research. Its inclusion in large-scale oncology initiatives like the Cancer Cell Line Encyclopedia (CCLE) and Cancer Dependency Map (DepMap) enables high-throughput pharmacogenomic profiling to identify therapeutic vulnerabilities. These applications directly support preclinical target validation and biomarker discovery for novel osteosarcoma treatments.
