C57BL/6 Mouse Embryonic Fibroblasts from AcceGen are isolated from tissue of pathogen-free laboratory mice.
HighQC™ C57BL/6 Mouse Embryonic Fibroblasts (MEFs) are primary fibroblast cells isolated from tissue of pathogen-free laboratory mice. Morphologically, they display a characteristic spindle-shaped or stellate fibroblast-like appearance. The cells express the fibroblast marker FSP1/S100A4. Functionally, these cells play a critical role in extracellular matrix production, paracrine signaling, and stromal support. As embryonic-stage fibroblasts, MEFs actively participate in tissue morphogenesis and organogenesis by regulating cell–cell and cell–matrix interactions during development. They also contribute to the modulation of local signaling microenvironments through the secretion of growth factors, cytokines, and extracellular matrix components. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

HighQC™ C57BL/6 Mouse Embryonic Fibroblasts (MEFs) are widely utilized in basic research as an in vitro model for studying embryonic development, cell cycle regulation, and fibroblast biology within a well-defined genetic background. In addition, they provide a biologically relevant platform for examining cellular senescence, stress responses, and host–pathogen interactions, as well as for evaluating gene editing efficiency and regulatory element activity in murine cells, supporting a broad range of fundamental molecular and cellular biology studies.
