Human Brain Cancer Stem Cell; Frozen Vial and Plated cells are available.
HighQC™ Human Brain Cancer Stem Cells are isolated from primary human glioblastoma tissues and enriched for tumor-initiating cells using markers such as CD133, CD44, CD34, SSEA 3/4, Oct4, confirmed by flow cytometry. These cells exhibit characteristic stem-like morphology with small, round shapes and the ability to form neurospheres in vitro. They possess self-renewal and multipotent differentiation capabilities, giving rise to heterogeneous tumor cell populations including neurons, astrocytes, and oligodendrocyte-like cells. These brain cancer stem cells (BCSCs) are critical for studying glioma initiation, progression, therapeutic resistance, and recurrence. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, syphilis, mycoplasma, fungi, yeast, and bacteria.

HighQC™ Human Brain Cancer Stem Cells are extensively used to model glioblastoma biology, including tumor growth, invasion, and resistance to chemotherapy and radiotherapy. These cells provide a robust platform for screening novel anti-cancer agents targeting cancer stem cell populations. They are also utilized in studies on tumor microenvironment interactions, signaling pathways, and mechanisms driving tumor recurrence. Their capacity to differentiate into various neural lineages makes them valuable for investigating glioma heterogeneity and developing precision medicine approaches in neuro-oncology.
