HighQC™ Human Hepatocyte trans-differentiated from Human Cord Blood derived Stem Cell enables liver metabolism, toxicity, and regeneration pathway studies.
HighQC™ Human Hepatocytes trans-differentiated from Human Cord Blood-derived Stem Cells (hUCB-MSCs) are functional hepatocyte-like cells generated by directing multipotent stem cells from human umbilical cord blood toward the hepatic lineage. These cells display polygonal epithelial morphology with a central nucleus and express key hepatic markers, including CD34, CD90, CD117, Nestin, Trans-differentiation is achieved through a stepwise cytokine-induced protocol that mimics liver development stages. Confirmation of hepatocyte identity is primarily based on marker expression and albumin secretion; additional validation methods like ELISA and qPCR may vary between batches. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, syphilis, mycoplasma, fungi, yeast, and bacteria.

HighQC™ trans-differentiated Human Hepatocytes serve as an effective in vitro platform for studying liver metabolism, hepatotoxicity, and viral hepatitis infection. They are widely applicable in drug screening, ADME profiling, and bioartificial liver device development. Their stem cell-derived origin allows for scalable, ethical, and consistent production for long-term and high-throughput studies in hepatic biology and regenerative research.
