Human Kidney Stem Cell; Frozen Vial and Plated cells are available.
HighQC™ Human Kidney Stem Cells are derived from healthy adult human kidney tissue and exhibit key stem cell characteristics, including clonogenic potential and multipotency. These cells display a spindle-shaped, fibroblast-like morphology typical of renal stem/progenitor populations. They are expanded under defined, feeder-free conditions to preserve native gene expression patterns, including CD34, Nestin, C117 & KDR. They demonstrate robust expression of kidney-specific and stem-associated markers and retain the ability to differentiate into renal epithelial cells, podocytes, and proximal tubule-like cells. These cells are not pluripotent but possess lineage-restricted differentiation potential, making them ideal for renal development and nephrotoxicity research. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, syphilis, mycoplasma, fungi, yeast, and bacteria.

HighQC™ Human Kidney Stem Cells (human renal stem cells), are valuable tools for investigating kidney development, modeling renal diseases, and conducting nephrotoxicity screening for drug discovery. Their ability to differentiate into key kidney cell types supports studies of renal regeneration, chronic kidney disease (CKD), acute kidney injury (AKI), and diabetic nephropathy. These cells, as kidney-derived progenitor cells, can be used in both 2D monolayer and 3D organoid culture systems, enabling researchers to simulate in vivo kidney function in vitro for translational and preclinical research.
