Human Neuronal Stem Cells (Cortex); Frozen Vial and Plated cells are available.
HighQC™ Human Neuronal Stem Cells (Cortex) are neural stem cells derived from human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), which were reprogrammed from adult skin fibroblasts. These cells exhibit a characteristic neuroepithelial morphology and the ability to expand clonally. They express canonical neural stem cell markers, including Nestin and SOX2, and demonstrate multipotent differentiation capacity toward neurons, astrocytes, and oligodendrocytes under defined conditions. This profile is consistent with their neuroectodermal identity. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, syphilis, mycoplasma, fungi, yeast, and bacteria.

HighQC™ Human Neuronal Stem Cells (Cortex) are suitable for a range of applications including modeling human cortical development, studying neural lineage commitment, and analyzing synaptic activity. They are especially useful in disease modeling for conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, autism spectrum disorders, and epilepsy. These cells also provide a robust platform for neurotoxicity assays, drug screening, and electrophysiological testing. Their ability to reliably generate cortical neurons in vitro makes them highly valuable for both academic and pharmaceutical research.
