Description

HighQC™ Neural Progenitors-Alcohol Addicted are derived from patient-specific iPSCs reprogrammed from IRB-approved donors with documented Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD) history. These progenitors express common neural lineage markers including SOX2, Nestin, and PAX6. They provide a unique platform for studying the impact of alcohol addiction on neural development, differentiation, and genomic stability. Researchers can use this model to investigate cellular responses to alcohol exposure, epigenetic alterations, and potential therapeutic interventions targeting neuroplasticity and reward circuitry associated with addiction. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

Application

  • HighQC™ Neural Progenitors-Alcohol Addicted are suited for modeling neurodevelopmental and epigenetic effects of chronic alcohol exposure. These cells support the investigation of addiction-related pathways, synaptic plasticity, and molecular neuroadaptations in vitro, enabling therapeutic discovery for alcohol use disorders. Their ability to retain alcohol-induced epigenetic signatures makes them a unique tool for studying long-term neurobiological consequences of addiction.
