Rat Kidney Stem Cells; Frozen Vial and Plated cells are available.
HighQC™ Rat Kidney Stem Cells (R-KSCs) are isolated from the renal cortex of healthy postnatal rats and represent a progenitor cell population capable of contributing to nephron segment regeneration. These cells exhibit adherent epithelial-like morphology and express CD24 and CD133. Under differentiation-inducing conditions, they can give rise to proximal tubule-like cells and other nephron derivatives. R-KSCs demonstrate self-renewal capacity and respond to injury-related signaling pathways, making them a valuable model for studying renal development, fibrosis, and regeneration. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from mycoplasma, fungi, yeast, and bacteria.

HighQC™ Rat Kidney Stem Cells support research in nephrogenesis, renal regeneration, and kidney injury models. Their multipotency makes them suitable for modeling acute kidney injury (AKI), chronic kidney disease (CKD), and drug-induced nephrotoxicity. These cells are also valuable for studying segment-specific renal differentiation, renal organoid development, and stem cell–based repair strategies. They also enable investigation of progenitor cell responses to pro-fibrotic signals and therapeutic modulation in renal disease contexts.
