Rat Liver Stem Cells; Frozen Vial and Plated cells are available.
HighQC™ Rat Liver Stem Cells are isolated from the liver tissue of healthy postnatal rats and represent a bipotential progenitor cell population capable of differentiating into both hepatocytes and cholangiocytes. These cells exhibit epithelial-like morphology and express hepatic progenitor markers. When cultured with lineage-inductive cues, they can differentiate into albumin-producing hepatocytes or bile duct-like cells. These liver stem/progenitor cells demonstrate self-renewal capacity and respond dynamically to liver injury signals, making them an important tool for hepatic regeneration and liver disease modeling. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from mycoplasma, fungi, yeast, and bacteria.

HighQC™ Rat Liver Stem Cells, a rat liver-derived stem cell line (rat liver progenitor cells), are well-suited for studying liver development, hepatic lineage specification, and regeneration following injury or fibrosis. They support research in hepatotoxicity screening, metabolic liver disease models, and cholangiopathy. Their bipotent differentiation potential also makes them useful in liver tissue engineering and transplantation feasibility studies. They further enable exploration of progenitor cell dynamics in response to pro-regenerative and fibrogenic microenvironments, aiding in the development of targeted liver therapies.
