Rat Neuronal Stem Cells; Frozen Vial and Plated cells are available.
HighQC™ Rat Neuronal Stem Cells (R-NSCs) are isolated from brain in healthy postnatal rats and represent a population of multipotent neural stem/progenitor cells with the capacity for long-term self-renewal. Under adherent or neurosphere culture conditions, these cells exhibit small, bipolar or multipolar morphology and express neural stem cell markers including Nestin, Sox2, and Musashi-1. R-NSCs provide a well-established model for investigating neurogenesis, neuronal development, and regenerative responses following central nervous system injury. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from mycoplasma, fungi, yeast, and bacteria.

HighQC™ Rat Neuronal Stem Cells are suitable for studies of neurodevelopment, adult neurogenesis, and CNS repair. Their multipotency, as being rat brain-derived neuronal progenitors, makes them ideal for modeling neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s, testing neuroprotective agents, and exploring glia-neuron interactions. These cells further enable pathway-level analysis of neural stem cell fate decisions under inflammatory or hypoxic microenvironments. They also support research in spinal cord injury, neural tissue engineering, and high-throughput neurotoxicity assays.
