Access HMVEC-dBlNeo to investigate dermal microvascular function, endothelial signaling, and inflammation in skin tissue and wound healing research models.
HMVEC-dBlNeo (Human Dermal Blood Microvascular Endothelial Cells-Neonatal) are primary endothelial cells isolated from human neonatal foreskin tissue. These primary endothelial cells are specifically enriched from the microvasculature of healthy dermal tissue. Following primary culture, these cells are cryopreserved. HMVEC-dBlNeo exhibit a characteristic cobblestone morphology in culture and regulate key microvascular functions including angiogenesis, vascular permeability, and leukocyte adhesion. Therefore, they play key roles in tissue repair and inflammation. Their dysfunction is associated with diabetic microvascular complications and tumor angiogenesis. They express a range of endothelial cell markers, including CD31, CD34, and von Willebrand factor, and are also responsive to various cytokines and growth factors, such as vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α). As primary cells, they have limited expansion capacity. Repeated freezing and thawing should be avoided during culture. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

HMVEC-dBlNeo serves as a critical in vitro model for studying human neonatal microvascular dysfunction in diseases like impaired wound healing and diabetic retinopathy. Researchers can utilize these cells in investigating signaling pathways regulating angiogenesis and barrier integrity. These studies reveal mechanisms underlying pathological hyperpermeability and neovascularization.
