Description

Human Gallbladder Fibroblasts (HGBF) are adherent, spindle-shaped mesenchymal cells isolated from healthy human gallbladder tissue. These fibroblasts synthesize an extracellular matrix rich in type I and III collagen and serve key roles in connective tissue structure and wound healing. HGBF are versatile and durable, supporting complex manipulations such as gene transfection and microinjection. They also increase PGI₂ release under inflammatory stimulation—contributing to early acute cholecystitis pathophysiology. Their consistent morphology and function make them ideal for gallbladder biology and disease modeling. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures and is tested to ensure it is free from contamination by HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.
