Description

Human Liver S9 Fraction-50 Donors (0.5 mL) is a pooled subcellular preparation containing both microsomal and cytosolic enzymes, isolated from normal adult liver tissue. Derived from 50 individual donors, this high-diversity fraction offers a robust representation of population-wide metabolic capacity. It retains phase I enzymes and phase II enzymes, enabling broad-spectrum xenobiotic metabolism studies. The S9 fraction supports early-stage compound screening, including metabolic stability assays, metabolite profiling, and drug interaction studies. With both oxidative and conjugative activities, it is particularly useful for modeling in vivo liver biotransformation in a single in vitro system. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures and is tested to ensure it is free from contamination by HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

Application

  • This 50-donor S9 fraction enables efficient in vitro evaluation of metabolic clearance, drug–drug interactions, and biotransformation pathways. It is used in metabolic stability screening, CYP/UGT inhibition studies, and metabolite generation assays. With combined microsomal and cytosolic enzyme activities, it provides a more complete model of hepatic metabolism than microsomes alone. The 0.5 mL aliquot format is ideal for labs performing moderate-throughput compound screening or early ADME evaluations using physiologically relevant pooled human liver material.
