Description

Human Osteoblast Cells, Postnatal are primary bone-forming cells isolated from healthy postnatal human bone tissue. These cuboidal cells display extensive rough endoplasmic reticulum and abundant mitochondria under electron microscopy, aligning with their primary role in bone matrix synthesis. They are cryopreserved at an early passage to preserve native phenotypic traits. These postnatal human osteoblasts express key osteogenic markers including RUNX2, ALP, type I collagen, osteocalcin, and osteopontin. As non-immortalized primary cells, they have a finite in vitro lifespan and are unsuitable for unlimited passaging. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

Application

  • These postnatal osteoblasts are ideal for modeling bone formation, matrix mineralization, and skeletal development. They are widely used to study bone-specific signaling pathways, evaluate bone regeneration, and perform toxicology or biomarker discovery assays. In advanced co-culture systems, they help elucidate osteoblast-osteoclast-osteocyte interactions during bone remodeling or biomaterial integration. Researchers also use them to investigate drug effects on osteogenic gene expression and bone matrix deposition in vitro.
