Human Type I Diabetes Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells are isolated from the peripheral blood of patients with type I diabetes (T1D). Typical mononuclear cells with round nuclei, grow in suspension.Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease characterized by the immune system’s mistaken attack on pancreatic β cells, resulting in an absolute lack of insulin secretion.Altered expression of metabolic and inflammatory markers, increased lipid peroxidation-related genes, dysregulated mitochondrial genes PBMCs from patients with T1D show metabolic abnormalities, with increased lipid accumulation, increased lipid peroxidation, and impaired mitochondrial function when exposed to fatty acids or inflammatory factors (TNF-α) .Functional abnormalities linked to autoimmune destruction of pancreatic β cells, immune dysregulation, and metabolic stress in PBMCs.

Human Type I Diabetes Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells can be used to study the immune pathogenesis of type I diabetes and reveal the key pathways by which immune cells attack pancreatic β cells. They can also be used to evaluate the effects of immunomodulatory drugs on the activity of T cells and NK cells.
