NFS-70 C10 is a murine pro-B lymphoblast cell line derived from a lymphoma induced by murine leukemia virus (MuLV) in an NFS/N strain mouse. The cell exhibit typical lymphoblast morphology and grow in suspension culture. This model retains key markers of early B-cell differentiation, including CD5, CD32 (FcγRII), and CD45R (B220), alongside Mac-1 (CD11b), while lacking surface immunoglobulin and Ia antigens. Its immunophenotype (CD5+/CD32+/CD45R+) aligns with pro-B lineage commitment, making it a valuable resource for studying early lymphoid development and hematologic malignancies.

The NFS-70 C10 cell line holds plays a significant role in immunology and retrovirology research, particularly in (murine leukemia virus) MuLV research. It is widely used to investigate B lymphopoiesis and the regulation of lymphoid developement by cytokines. NFS-70 C10 cells enables researchers to explore how specific cytokines influence the B lineage cells differentiation and proliferation, providing insights into immune system development and the mechanisms underlying lymphoid malignancies.
