Primary Rat Oligodendrocytes for neuroscience research, myelin formation, demyelination, neurotoxicity testing, and neural development studies.
Rat Oligodendrocytes are isolated from rat central nervous system tissue. Oligodendrocytes are specialized glial cells responsible for the formation and maintenance of myelin sheaths surrounding neuronal axons in the central nervous system. Following primary culture, these cells are cryopreserved for subsequent research use. Oligodendrocytes are involved in axonal insulation, neuronal support, and regulation of signal conduction. These cells have been reported to express oligodendrocyte-associated markers including MBP, Olig2, and CNPase. In vitro, the cells display adherent growth with branched cellular morphology characteristic of differentiated oligodendrocytes. Rat oligodendrocytes are widely used in neuroscience research, demyelinating disease studies, neurotoxicity testing, and investigations of neural development and regeneration. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from mycoplasma, fungi, yeast, and bacteria.
