Primary rat small intestinal crypt epithelial cells isolated from intestinal crypt tissue, provided at 0.5 million viable cells per vial for research use.
Rat Small Intestinal Crypt Epithelial Cells are isolated from rat small intestinal crypt tissue. Crypt epithelial cells are proliferative intestinal epithelial cells that contribute to epithelial renewal, tissue regeneration, and maintenance of intestinal epithelial homeostasis. Following primary culture, these cells are cryopreserved for later experimental use. Intestinal crypt epithelial cells are involved in tissue regeneration, host defense, and regulation of intestinal homeostasis. These cells have been reported to express epithelial-associated markers including EpCAM, cytokeratin 18, and villin. In vitro, the cells exhibit adherent epithelial growth with cobblestone-like morphology. Rat small intestinal crypt epithelial cells are widely used in intestinal biology, stem cell research, nutrient transport studies, and gastrointestinal disease investigations. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from mycoplasma, fungi, yeast, and bacteria.
