THP-1/RFP Stable Cell Line is a genetically engineered human monocytic cell line derived from THP-1 cells, designed for stable expression of red fluorescent protein (RFP). The cell line maintains key native THP-1 characteristics, such as the capacity to upregulate CD14 upon differentiation and PMA-induced differentiation into macrophage-like cells. The RFP marker enables non-invasive monitoring of cell migration, engraftment, and survival in both in vitro and in vivo studies, making this cell line particularly valuable for immunotherapy research, macrophage function studies, and tumor microenvironment investigations. Cells exhibit consistent RFP expression across passages with minimal fluorescence variance, allowing for reliable quantitative analysis. The cell line is maintained at low passage numbers (<P20) to ensure fluorescence intensity stability and phenotypic consistency. The cells are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast and Bacteria.

The THP-1/RFP Stable Cell Line is a genetically engineered human monocytic cell line that stably expresses red fluorescent protein (RFP), enabling real-time tracking and visualization of THP-1 cells in vitro and in vivo. This fluorescent reporter cell line is particularly useful for migration studies, cell-cell interaction analysis, and long-term monitoring of monocyte/macrophage dynamics. The bright RFP signal allows sensitive detection by fluorescence microscopy or flow cytometry without requiring substrate addition. Maintain in standard RPMI-1640 medium supplemented with 10% FBS and appropriate selection antibiotics to ensure stable RFP expression across passages.
