Description

BALB/c Mouse Intestinal Endothelial Cells are primary endothelial cells isolated from the microvascular endothelium of the small intestine of BALB/c mice (Mus musculus), a well-characterized inbred laboratory strain. These cells originate from the vascular lining of the intestinal tissue and exhibit a typical cobblestone morphology in vitro, forming tight monolayers characteristic of endothelial cells. These cells play a vital role in regulating vascular permeability, leukocyte trafficking, and angiogenesis within the intestinal microenvironment. BALB/c Mouse Intestinal Endothelial Cells are maintained at early passage numbers to preserve their phenotypic integrity and functional properties. Immunophenotyping demonstrates high expression of endothelial markers such as CD31 (PECAM-1), VE-cadherin (CD144), and von Willebrand factor (vWF). Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures and is tested to ensure it is free from contamination by Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

Application

  • BALB/c Mouse Intestinal Endothelial Cells are widely used in studies of intestinal angiogenesis, vascular barrier function, inflammation, and immune cell transmigration. They are also valuable for drug delivery and permeability assays across the intestinal vasculature, as well as investigations of molecular pathways involved in endothelial cell activation and dysfunction. These cells provide a physiologically relevant in vitro model for cardiovascular and intestinal vascular research, drug development, and pathophysiological studies.
