Description

BALB/c Mouse Lung Endothelial Cells are primary endothelial cells isolated from the pulmonary vasculature of BALB/c mice (Mus musculus). These cells form the inner lining of pulmonary blood vessels and play crucial roles in gas exchange, vascular homeostasis, immune cell trafficking, and inflammation. In vitro, BALB/c Mouse Lung Endothelial Cells exhibit a cobblestone morphology typical of endothelial monolayers and display contact inhibition upon confluence. The cells are validated for expression of classical endothelial markers such as CD31 (PECAM-1), VE-cadherin, and von Willebrand factor (vWF), and show functional properties including tube formation and response to angiogenic stimuli. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures and is tested to ensure it is free from contamination by Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

Application

  • BALB/c Mouse Lung Endothelial Cells are ideal models for pulmonary vascular biology studies, including endothelial barrier function and angiogenesis, modeling acute lung injury (ALI) and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), research on leukocyte-endothelial interactions and immune cell transmigration, in vitro assays of inflammation and oxidative stress, and viral infection models. These cells serve as a robust platform to investigate pulmonary endothelial function in health and disease.
