Description

BALB/c Mouse Mammary Fibroblasts are primary fibroblasts isolated from the mammary gland tissue of BALB/c mice (Mus musculus). These fibroblasts are key components of the mammary stromal microenvironment, responsible for extracellular matrix (ECM) production, structural support, and modulation of epithelial cell behavior. In culture, BALB/c Mouse Mammary Fibroblasts exhibit the typical spindle-shaped morphology and robust adherence to culture vessels. They express mesenchymal markers such as vimentin and fibroblast-specific protein 1. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures and is tested to ensure it is free from contamination by Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

Application

  • BALB/c Mouse Mammary Fibroblasts are essential for studying the stromal-epithelial interactions that regulate mammary gland development, remodeling, and pathology. These cells provide a relevant model for investigating extracellular matrix remodeling, fibroblast activation, and their role in mammary tumor microenvironments. They are widely used to study cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) in breast cancer progression and metastasis, as well as in fibrosis and wound healing research.
