Description

BALB/c Mouse Mammary Microvascular Endothelial Cells are primary endothelial cells isolated from the microvasculature of the mammary gland in BALB/c mice (Mus musculus). These cells form the inner lining of the mammary microvasculature and play critical roles in regulating blood flow, vascular permeability, and angiogenesis within the mammary tissue. In culture, these cells exhibit typical endothelial cobblestone morphology and express key markers including CD31 (PECAM-1), VE-cadherin, von Willebrand factor (vWF), and endoglin. They demonstrate functional properties such as tube formation and response to angiogenic factors like VEGF. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures and is tested to ensure it is free from contamination by Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

Application

  • BALB/c Mouse Mammary Microvascular Endothelial Cells provide a robust model for investigating mammary gland vascular biology, with a focus on physiological angiogenesis, dynamic vascular remodeling, and endothelial barrier integrity under normal and pathological conditions. They are instrumental in breast cancer research, particularly for studying tumor-induced angiogenesis and the contribution of the vascular niche to cancer progression and metastatic dissemination. BALB/c Mouse Mammary Microvascular Endothelial Cells are also used to assess the effects of therapeutic agents targeting angiogenesis and vascular permeability.
