Bovine Coronary Artery Smooth Muscle Cells enable vascular biology research, contractility assays, and atherosclerosis-related mechanism studies.
Bovine Coronary Artery Smooth Muscle Cells (BCASMCs) are isolated from the coronary artery tissues of bovine hearts. Morphologically, they exhibit a typical spindle-shaped appearance and grow in an adherent manner. These cells express smooth muscle-specific proteins, including α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA). BCASMCs play a pivotal role in regulating vascular tone and blood flow through contraction and relaxation. They are also involved in vascular remodeling processes, such as proliferation and migration, which are crucial in response to vascular injury or disease. Additionally, BCASMCs participate in the synthesis and maintenance of the extracellular matrix, influencing the integrity of the vascular wall. These cells provide a valuable model for exploring bovine coronary artery cell proliferation and bovine vascular injury repair mechanisms in vascular biology studies. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

Bovine Coronary Artery Smooth Muscle Cells (BCASMCs) are widely used in cardiovascular research to study the cellular mechanisms underlying vascular tone regulation, cell proliferation, migration, and extracellular matrix remodeling. These cells also serve as an in vitro model for investigating how various chemical compounds or biological factors influence smooth muscle cell behavior.
