Mouse primary lung endothelial cells (MPLUECs) from are isolated from tissue of pathogen-free laboratory mice.
C57BL/10J Mouse Lung Cells are isolated from pathogen-free C57BL/10J lung tissue. The suspension contains alveolar type I/II and airway epithelial cells, spindle-shaped fibroblasts, and rounded alveolar macrophages, recreating the native pulmonary microenvironment. Epithelial elements form cobblestone monolayers and express E-cadherin and pan-cytokeratin, confirming epithelial identity. Fibroblasts display spindle morphology and are positive for vimentin and Thy-1.They also express the macrophage marker F4/80, enabling selective analysis. Although not tied to a single disease, this heterogeneity supports barrier-function, matrix-remodeling and innate-immunity studies in asthma, fibrosis, infection and toxicant exposure. To ensure the quality of these primary cells, repeated freeze-thaw cycles are not recommended due to the fragile nature of these cells. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

These mixed lung cells let researchers probe cross-talk among epithelial, mesenchymal and immune compartments. They are ideal for assessing cytokine release, extracellular-matrix deposition, pathogen or pollutant toxicity, and vascular-barrier changes relevant to asthma, COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, ARDS and infectious pneumonia, as well as chronic inflammation, lung injury repair, and drug screening applications.
