C57BL/6 Mouse Dermal Lymphatic Endothelial Cells are isolated from tissue of pathogen-free laboratory mice.
C57BL/6 Mouse Dermal Lymphatic Endothelial Cells are primary cells isolated from the skin of pathogen-free laboratory mice, serving as a valuable mouse model for lymphatic research. These cells primarily reside in the dermal lymphatic vessels of the skin, specifically lining lymphatic capillaries and collecting vessels throughout the dermal layer. Following primary culture, these cells are cryopreserved. These cells exhibit situational self-renewal capacity and regulate critical physiological functions including lymphatic drainage, chemokine-guided immune trafficking, and dietary lipid transport through scavenger receptor expression. Studies demonstrate their implication in lymphedema (VEGFR3 signaling defects), psoriasis, and transplant rejection via impaired antigen presentation to T cells. Phenotypic validation is performed with the lymphatic endothelial markers VE-cadherin, von Willebrand factor (vWF), and CD31/PECAM-1. To maintain optimal functionality, repeated freezing and thawing should be avoided during culture. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

C57BL/6 Mouse Dermal Lymphatic Endothelial Cells can be used as an in vitro model to study the pathogenesis of lymphatic dysfunction in disease conditions such as chronic lymphedema and psoriasis. Researchers can investigate disease mechanisms including VEGFR3-mediated lymphangiogenesis impairment and CCL21/CCR7 signaling dysregulation. These cells elucidate the molecular basis of impaired immune cell trafficking, fluid drainage failure, and pathological inflammation.
