C57BL/6 Mouse Hepatocytes Suspension - Adult.
C57BL/6 Mouse Hepatocytes Suspension-Adult are primary cells isolated from the liver parenchymal tissue, specifically localized in the periportal regions surrounding portal triads and extending toward central veins. Following primary culture, these cells are cryopreserved. The cells perform essential metabolic functions including glucose and glycogen regulation, xenobiotic detoxification, and plasma protein synthesis. These mouse primary hepatocytes demonstrate direct relevance for modeling human liver pathologies including non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), drug-induced liver injury (DILI), viral hepatitis infection, and Wilson’s disease, facilitating therapeutic screening for hepatoprotectants. Repeated freezing and thawing should be avoided during culture. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

C57BL/6 Mouse Hepatocytes Suspension-Adult can be used as an in vitro model to study the pathogenesis of metabolic liver diseases in conditions such as non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and drug-induced liver injury (DILI) through lipid accumulation mechanisms and mitochondrial dysfunction pathways, or evaluate DILI mechanisms involving oxidative stress and CYP450-mediated toxicity. These cells support the elucidation of mechanisms of lipid accumulation, mitochondrial dysfunction, and oxidative stress, aiding the development of therapeutic agents for hepatic protection.
