Mouse primary kidney cells (MPKIDCs) are isolated from tissue of pathogen-free laboratory mice.
C57BL/6 Mouse Kidney Cells are primary cells isolated from the kidney tissue of pathogen-free laboratory mice, serving as a reliable model for molecular studies in mouse kidney. Following primary culture, these cells are cryopreserved. These cells originate from the functional compartments of the renal parenchyma, including glomerular and tubular structures, where they perform essential physiological functions such as glomerular filtration, tubular reabsorption, ion regulation, and endocrine activity. C57BL/6 mouse kidney cells lack intrinsic self-renewal capacity, with regeneration occurring through regional progenitor cells and dedifferentiation of surviving tubular epithelial cells after injury. Studies have demonstrated their involvement in acute kidney injury, diabetic nephropathy, polycystic kidney disease, and hypertension. For optimal performance, repeated freezing and thawing should be avoided during culture. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

C57BL/6 Mouse Kidney Cells can be used as an in vitro model to study the pathogenesis of renal parenchymal diseases in conditions such as acute kidney injury (AKI) and diabetic nephropathy. Researchers can investigate critical pathological mechanisms including ischemia-reperfusion injury in AKI, podocyte foot process effacement in proteinuric diseases, and fibrotic transformation in chronic kidney disease. The cells enable evaluation of renoprotective therapies targeting oxidative stress, inflammatory pathways, and fibrotic signaling cascades.
