Mouse Lung Mesenchymal Stem Cells are derived from the lung tissues of pathogen-free laboratory adult mice.
C57BL/6 Mouse Lung Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs) are primary cells isolated from the lung tissues of pathogen-free laboratory adult mice, serving as a classic model for C57BL/6 lung tissue regeneration, MSC roles in lung repair, and studies of mouse pulmonary MSCs. These cells primarily reside in the peribronchial and perivascular niches of lung tissue. Following primary culture, these cells are cryopreserved. The cells are capable of self-renewal and perform key functions including immunomodulation (IL-10/TGF-β secretion), tissue regeneration through differentiation into lung stromal cells, and fibrosis suppression (via HGF/CXCR4 signaling). Studies have implicated them in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, and acute respiratory distress syndrome. Phenotypic characterization confirms expression of canonical MSC markers CD44, Sca-1, and CD29, with trilineage differentiation potential (adipogenic, osteogenic, chondrogenic). For optimal performance, repeated freezing and thawing should be avoided during culture. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

C57BL/6 Mouse Lung Mesenchymal Stem Cells can be used as an in vitro model to study the pathogenesis of regenerative failure in chronic respiratory diseases such as idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). Researchers could employ these cells for investigating molecular pathways like CXCR4/SDF-1α-mediated homing impairment or TSG-6-regulated macrophage polarization. They serve as a critical model for elucidating mechanisms of aberrant tissue repair, uncontrolled fibrosis, and cytokine storm amplification.
