Mouse Ovarian Smooth Muscle Cells from AcceGen are isolated from tissue of pathogen-free laboratory mice.
C57BL/6 Mouse Ovarian Smooth Muscle Cells are isolated from the ovarian stromal region of C57BL/6 mice. These smooth muscle cells support tissue integrity and participate in the regulation of vascular tone and local contraction within the ovary. They play roles in ovarian physiology, follicular rupture, and vascular remodeling. Studies suggest their involvement in ovarian dysfunction and reproductive disorders. Smooth muscle cells are characterized by expression of α-SMA. These cells do not proliferate indefinitely and are not suitable for long-term passaging. To maintain viability and functional phenotype, repeated freeze-thaw cycles should be avoided. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from mycoplasma, fungi, yeast, and bacteria.

C57BL/6 Mouse Ovarian Smooth Muscle Cells can be applied in studies of ovarian smooth muscle contractility, vascular support, and tissue remodeling. These cells, also known as C57BL/6 ovarian smooth muscle cells or Murine ovary SMCs, are useful in research focused on the structural changes during ovulation, corpus luteum formation, and pathological conditions such as ovarian torsion or fibrosis.
