Utilize C57BL/6 Mouse Pulmonary Vein Smooth Muscle Cells to model pulmonary vascular disease, contractility, and smooth muscle physiology in mice.
C57BL/6 Mouse Pulmonary Vein Smooth Muscle Cells, also known as C57BL/6 pulmonary vein smooth muscle cells and Murine pulmonary venous SMCs, are derived from the pulmonary vein wall tissue of the C57BL/6 mouse. These cells reside within the medial layer of the pulmonary vein and contribute to vascular tone and structural support. Pulmonary vein smooth muscle cells participate in venous contractility, vascular remodeling, and pathological changes associated with pulmonary fibrosis and pulmonary veno-occlusive disease. Mouse pulmonary vein smooth muscle cells are widely used in models investigating smooth muscle hyperplasia and fibrosis. These cells express smooth muscle markers such as alpha-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA). Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles in vitro to maintain cell viability and function. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from mycoplasma, fungi, yeast, and bacteria.

C57BL/6 Mouse Pulmonary Vein Smooth Muscle Cells are used to explore pulmonary venous remodeling, vasoreactivity, and fibrosis. These cells are particularly valuable for research on pulmonary venous hypertension and left-heart-associated pulmonary conditions. They enable analysis of contraction mechanisms and cellular response to inflammatory or fibrotic stimuli.
