Mouse splenic endothelial cells (MSPEC) are isolated from tissue of pathogen-free laboratory mice.
C57BL/6 Mouse Splenic Endothelial Cells are primary cells isolated from the spleen tissue of healthy, pathogen-free C57BL/6 mice. These cells are known for their cobblestone-like morphology, typical of microvascular endothelial cells. They strongly express endothelial-specific markers including CD31 (PECAM-1), CD34, and CD146 (MCAM), essential for vascular integrity, leukocyte transmigration, and angiogenesis. These cells are cryopreserved at passage one to retain their primary characteristics and are non-passagable, meaning they maintain in vivo-like behavior without long-term culturing artifacts. C57BL/6 Mouse Splenic Endothelial Cells offer a valuable in vitro model for studying splenic vascular biology, immune-endothelial interactions, and inflammatory disease processes within the spleen’s microenvironment. To ensure the quality of these primary cells, repeated freeze-thaw cycles are not recommended due to the fragile nature of these cells. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

These cells are ideal for investigating endothelial biology, including cell adhesion, angiogenesis, immune cell trafficking, and vascular inflammation. They can be used in disease models involving splenic vasculature or immune-endothelial interactions, as well as for screening vascular-targeted therapeutics. Their physiological relevance makes them suitable for translational research and mechanistic studies of vascular dysfunction.
