Mouse Stomach Smooth Muscle Cells from AcceGen are isolated from tissue of pathogen-free laboratory mice.
C57BL/6 Mouse Stomach Smooth Muscle Cells, also known as Murine gastric SMCs and classified as Mouse stomach smooth muscle primary cells. These cells contribute to the contractile movements essential for gastric motility and digestion. They display elongated, spindle-shaped morphology typical of smooth muscle cells and exhibit adherent growth in vitro. Stomach smooth muscle cells play key roles in peristalsis, gastric emptying, and modulation of gastrointestinal reflexes. They express smooth muscle-specific marker α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA). Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles in vitro to maintain cell viability and function. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from mycoplasma, fungi, yeast, and bacteria.

C57BL/6 Mouse Stomach Smooth Muscle Cells are critical for modeling gastrointestinal motility, contractility, and smooth muscle physiology. These cells are valuable in studies of gastric emptying, gastroparesis, and neuromuscular control. They support pharmacological testing of agents affecting gastric smooth muscle function.
