The cardiac myocyte is the most physically energetic cell in the body.
CD-1 Mouse Cardiac Myocytes are primary ventricular cardiomyocytes derived from neonatal, pathogen-free CD-1 mice of both sexes with no history of cardiac disease. Cells are isolated through enzymatic digestion followed by differential adhesion to enrich for a pure myocyte population. They display spontaneous rhythmic contraction in vitro and express cardiac-specific proteins such as cardiac troponin T (cTnT) and α-actinin, making them suitable for CD-1 mouse cardiology studies. These non-tumorigenic cardiac myocytes are ideal for modeling cardiac physiology, electrophysiology, drug screening, cardiovascular disease research, and cardiac cell differentiation in CD-1 mice. These non-tumorigenic cardiac myocytes are ideal for modeling cardiac physiology, electrophysiology, drug screening, and cardiovascular disease research. To ensure the quality of these primary cells, repeated freeze-thawcycles are not recommended due to the fragile nature of these cells. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

CD-1 Mouse Cardiac Myocytes serve as a robust in vitro model for cardiac physiology, electrophysiology, and pharmacology research. They are extensively used to study myocardial contractility, hypertrophic responses, calcium signaling, cardiotoxicity of drug candidates, and electrophysiological properties under various pathological conditions. These cells support applications including patch-clamp recording, calcium imaging, qPCR, Western blot, and cardiomyocyte-beating assays.
