COLO-685 cell line is a colorectal cancer model for studying tumorigenesis, metastatic behavior, and the effectiveness of novel therapeutic agents.
COLO-685 is a human epithelial cell line established from the uterine tissue of a 63-year-old female patient diagnosed with uterine adenocarcinoma. These cells display a round and refractile morphology and grow in suspension. They express RAR-γ, CRBP, and CRABP and display metastatic-related characteristics. COLO-685 cells show characteristics of disrupted epithelial differentiation, consistent with aberrant retinoid-associated protein expression. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

COLO-685 can be used to study the occurrence and development mechanism of uterine adenocarcinoma, including phenotypic analysis of tumor proliferation, migration, invasion, etc. In addition, this cell line is used in in vitro drug screening to evaluate the effects of experimental compounds or investigational agents, providing insights into uterine adenocarcinoma biology.
